Renee Sekel is the founder of Save Our Schools North Carolina, a grassroots, parent-led group premised on the belief that every child deserves a well-rounded public education, and that the best way to achieve this goal is to fully fund public schools and craft careful well-considered policies that address the unique characteristics of each community within the state. She has two children who attend public schools in Cary, NC.
